    It may be an orange spotted sunfish? Looking at internet pictures I think it is.

    Yes, that first one is sure a beauty. Longears can put up some beautiful colors!

    Beautiful fish and yes it is an Orange Spotted Sunfish. They aren’t very numerous in Arkansas but we do see a few from time to time.
