Love the Gill pic, and pretty cool snake (s) pic also. Snakes and reptiles in general are usually considered precocial but the two little ones seem to be interested in what the adult is having for lunch
My brother and I caught about 70 total and left many more on the beds. Also left many on the beds that we saw. We also had some in expected guest. My brother only saw one when he took the pic. We counted three total later.

Nice catches.....
Ole miss no legs and young'uns.....
good day catching fish. cool snake picture
the smaller snakes are males and they are trying to you know what with the female , I think those are northern banded but water snakes none the less a real big one with smaller ones all over it in the spring is a sure sign they are trying to make more .
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
Thanks for the post and pics. Walking the creek I have learned to be careful where I step. Another reason why I like waist waders and boots! Sometimes I see them lined up perpendicular to the water part on the bank and in the water looking to ambush a minnow. Sometimes I see multiple snakes lined up within a foot of one another. Social distancing! LOL

Sounds like a great trip! Was that a fish or frog in that snakes mouth?
