The spawn is over at Nickajack...at least where I fish. The beds were pretty much empty. So I went bed picking.......locate a few on the si unit....catch them and move on to the next. The fish I caught were good fish but not like the other day. That’s where the Palms Egeria 6’ 4” XUL comes in. What it lacks in sensitivity it makes up for with the fun factor. Sensitivity was not too much of an issue either as I had it strung up with the Night Game PE .2 line. To say I had a ball is an understatement. Most of the sunfish were 8-8.5 inches. Had a really nice 15.5 inch largemouth that gave me fits....but I landed it. Had a total of about 40 fish today.....certainly not bad but I was hoping for more. I really hate that I missed out on the Presso Limited AGS XUL rod. I want a super sensitive XUL area trout rod so bad I can taste it....LOL. Fighting those fish with the PE is just too much fun. Holiday weekend is coming and I won’t be anywhere close to the water. Hoping for good weather next week to hit the tailrace and maybe some other lakes. All fish caught on Trout Magnets using Daiwa Gekkabijin 1.5 gram jig head with a #8 hook. The fish really were pretty today. Water temps 68 on arrival. Going to be interesting to see if there is another big spawn.

Sure are some pretty fish Randy, and 40 isn’t a bad day.

That was also a good day. See you liked the braid. I hope the video shows the bending curve on the XUL.

Yeah the line is pretty good. Helped make for a fun day. You can get some idea of the bending curve as it make in into some frames...LOL. I need to try the so called Super View. It will allow one to probably see all the way to the tip of the rod while working the lure but it may be too much of a fish eye effect.
