    Default Starting the Day Right

Had some time this morning before work. Hit my favorite pond and snagged a few nice gills and one shellcracker. A feather jig tipped with a crappie nibble and the venerable trout magnet (also tipped with a nibble) got these fish to bite.

One decided to head straight for this brush! Took me a while to untangle the mess. The fish will still on!

Tipped the trout magnet with a piece of earthworm and two bass joined the party. One got off on a jump, the second one didn't.

Those are some great specimens and pictures. Hard rains here today, everything is flooding and the chocolate colored creeks are not helping. I bet that Bass gave you a fit on the UL.

Very windy, as you might guess. Was supposed to start raining in the afternoon, so I figured I go fish in the morning. Still no rain.

Yes, the fight with the bass lasted several minutes. At least he didn't run into the brush like the one gill did!
