Default Need advice for sight fishing glasses!

I've got a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer glasses that are polarized but I'm looking for something better. I think I've got it narrowed down to possibly Costa glasses in amber base with green mirrors. I've spent hours reading reviews but still can't decide.

What say you? I'm a trophy shellcracker fisherman who desperately needs every advantage I can buy!!

I too am wanting to upgrade my sunglasses... my eyes are so sensitive that I prefer black lenses but I know I lose some under water visibility... following this post

I've had my Ocean Wave sunglasses for 19 years now, had the lenses replaced one time. The style is Chicago with a blue mirror lens. These I call my fish eyes because I can spot fish others don't see. Don't know if they still make them. Spare pair is Costa with the green mirror lens. Really like both pair, see better with the Ocean Waves but the Costa's are more comfortable.

I have worn Costas for the last 15 years. Before that I wore Oakleys. Costas are the best sunglasses I have ever looked through. I have tried both the plastic and glass lenses in several different colors. The reflective mirror blue glass lenses are good but the reflective green lenses are even better. The amber tone of the glass really makes things look ultra crisp and clear, even on cloudy days. Be sure to try in several pairs to see what fits the shape of tour face the best. For best results, pick a pair that hugs your face well and doesn’t let much light in around the frames. Fathoms used to be my favorite style but this past year I got some Reeftons and I really like them.

I have Costa glasses. I have the Jose frames with the copper silver mirror lens. Really like them.

I spent 21 years working in Saudi......fished the Persian Gulf and Red Sea everyday I could...which was a lot. I did a ton of sight fishing.....especially in the Gulf. I wore Costa......best I’ve ever used. Which brings me to question myself why after returning to the states I went to other sunglasses after a few years.....I need to go back to Costa.

    Regards

If you spend alot of time on the water you will never regret buying Costa glasses. They stand behind what they sell too as I have had mine rebuilt several times over the years and paid only shipping. Do not buy a pair that you have not tried on as the number of lenses and frame styles can be daunting. My vote is green mirror, amber lense you pick a frame. I fish a ton of stained water. Best of luck

When I was doing my research the blue lenses from Costa were the best spec wise. Never worn any tho.

Costa for me. One pair in the car one in the truck and a pair in the safe for when I loose one of those two pairs which always seems to happen.
