I am starting to REALLY like this quantum xtra lite with the 2 lb sos mono on it for sunfish .
the river fish are not large sunfish and this year are not really in great numbers for some reason .
but none the less they are a hoot on light light tackle for sure .
so when its super windy ...a lot here lately ….
I hit the river on my lunch break for a few pulls on the light rod .
I cant find a great pattern to them just yet . some are in short water some for sure not .
but to be sure they are fun on light tackle
and if you see me "perched" up under a bridge midday I might be perch jerkin ….
    it could happen you know

Good looking fish, going after them next few days here. Hope to catch some like what you have found! Light tackle is so much fun.

that SOS 2 lb is really good line SK , I am quite pleasantly surprised by its performance ...got it off a clearance rack about a year ago and never thought I would even use it .was gunna give it to a bud who uses real light tackle …..and it will cast a blooming mile and half btw

I wonder what the breaking weight that SOS comes in at. I like using 2# but like cheating with line that breaks at 4. 🤣

Randy says it is around 3.5-lb.

It will break at 3.5-3.75 pounds....as it should for the diameter. SOS is a good line.....I quit using it a couple of years back. I can no longer see clear lines, and with the diameter being .160mm I gained a lot of casting distance using the 2.3# test ester that has a diameter of .105mm and it sinks also.
