Default Does anyone have any experience with the Diawa EM MS spinning reels?

Does anyone have any experience with the Diawa EM MS spinning reels? Platt has them at $86.03. I am needing a reel to go with the Master Craft Speed Style 672ML that I purchased from Alphahawk today. I would like to stay in the $100 range. I am looking at he 2500 series. Suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Flintcreek

The new Legalis is within that price range and part of the new LT series. The Revros is there also. Digitaka has them with free shipping,I think Plat usually charges shipping on Garage Sale items unless specified. The EM MS does look nice though, I think Diawa has good quality through their line up.

Thanks, I like the looks of the Legalis and Revros. I have the American version of the 2500 Revros and plan on mounting it on the rod in a few minutes and getting the feel for the size. I plan to get a few cast in with the Revros mounted tomorrow after work. The EM MS is at 50% off and magsealed with 1 or 2 more bearings...I was thinking it was maybe a better deal on a better reel than the Legalis and Revros. Hoping someone could confirm. Good point on the shipping, I wonder how much it will run?

Shipping....and Plat puts a handling charge.....will run about 30 bucks total. Digitaka is usually better to buy from but they don’t always have items one wants.

Just the spool....comparing same model to same model ie the 1000 USA version holds 110 yards of 4# test...the JDM 1000S holds 100 meters of 2.5# test.

I ordered a 2506 for my dad a while ago and he likes it a lot... he uses 4lb on it and I did mess with it a little when it came in... very smooth reel for the price...

You have more options to choose from, size and speed. US normally don’t have “S” shallow spool version and you cannot really choose speed on some reels.
I sold my Legalis LT 1000 for Tatula 2000 LT. The Tatula only come with XH speed and Legalis doesn’t come with 2000(S). I might have to buy again JDM Legalis 2000S 5.2 because I don’t like 6.2 gear for crappie.
