I agree with y’all, he’s got more skills for fishing like a common person for any species than any other I can think of. Some of his gear has been around a minute and is still in very good shape. The man is smarter than he lets on, and I won’t bring up Elmer. Always good entertainment and some smarts passed along to boot. He’s a good man.

Started watching him a month ago when I decided to start fishing again. He reminds me of me and my fishing buddies I grew up with. We were ABB, anything but bass, haha! East TN offers everything from crappie to yellow perch and everything alphabetical in between. Love catfish, stripers, hybrids,
white bass, walleye, sauger, trout and almost anything that swims!

I also watched a lot of Gene videos and a subscriber on I_fish YouTube channel as well. They both gave a lot of info when I first started crappie fishing a year back. BTW not long ago I got some jig and goodies from I_fish as well. I’m really glad, I joined this Crappie community.

One is a good old boy from Florida and the other is a fairly recent immigrant from Bulgaria (I think). The crappie is what they have in common! Gotta love it.

Great ending music on his videos to go with the send off, eh? I found out about this place because of his videos. He's as good as they get in my book.

This man is responsible for putting the fire back in me to fish. Barely fished since my grandpa quit going. By quit I mean he wasn't able to physically. When you grow up fishing with someone and then they're mia, it can take the wind out of your sails. Got a lot to learn as we didn't crappie fish. My targets are gonna be crappie, bluegill, and shellcrackers. Why, because I like to eat em!

He reminds me of a Republican talking head Leland Whaley. "He puts it down there where the goats can get to it." I wished I had his hook set.
