I hear you on the top water plugs. I think this rod will be very good with them. I matched my TSS with the 20 size pflueger. I really like how that size reel balances for me. I have a Trout Slayer kit of little craws that are burning a hole in my vest LOL. All the colors look great. The creek will be waking up real soon.

You really going to like that rod.
I bought my daughter one, feels really nice for the price. One of her favorite rods for trout and bluegill.

I just put a Revros lt1000s reel on it and some 3 lbs unitika pe with floro leader for her.
