Default Only gills... no fish pics

Got the pleasure of meeting Randy over the weekend and secured some of the new trout magnet color. It was a quick visit and he knows his stuff for sure. Got to feel an upgraded ballistic and may possibly get me one. Haha. Thanks for all your help and finally good to meet you Randy.

I got to fish on Monday and only caught around 20 gills. Mostly small guys but got to try out my Major Craft N-One 6’6” Hard Model. Figured out it was a little short for the application at hand. My dads 7’3” Triple Cross seemed to fit the bill slightly better. He had shoulder surgery a few years back and he had gotten tired so I got a crack at the Triple Cross. It was kind of sad to not hook any slabs and I figured it was a little early where I went but a good time was still had. Did cast the Tict Ice Cube Rockin Finesse a bit and figured out I have a pretty strong dislike for the 2.3lb ester line (Orange varivas)... haha...

here is a pic of what I drove 4 hrs to Nashville for... other than to meet Mr. Hawk and take the kiddos to the zoo. :D

I think that color will do well on the Gills, cannot wait to try it out. Did you catch your Gills Monday on the new color? Bet a black jig head will provide a nice contrast to the bright green.

Most came on the new color but I also caught a few on sowbug as well as bison... new color hung in there for sure... and I used a black daiwa jighead... just ordered another Corto... *shakes head* ordered the Olympic '18 CORTO GCRTS-742L-T... should fit the bill for drop shot and I love my Corto rods... I have the 6’1“ and the 6’10” already and they are such a joy to fish... so excited...

Good deal. I am thinking about the 7.4 Corto also, think it would make an awesome vertical jigging rod. String it up with some Sunline 3lb Small Game PE in pink and dislocate a few jaws :-)

Looks and sounds like a winner to me.

they look good and I would put orange or pink jighead on for contrast or purple for dark color myself.

Can you compare the N-One to the Triple Cross? I thought about purchasing a N-One, but isn't it similar to a Triple Cross? I have the 7'3 Triple Cross and it's a nice rod. I also have two area stage rods, so I'm sort of looking for a Mebaru rod.
