If these doesn’t work I might try Fireline crystal next.
I have a 6’6” Lightning rod, an older version now out of production. My favorite crappie rod, a medium action with a soft tip. I spooledit with 4lb Nanofil about two years ago. Knowing it’s lack of abrasion resistance, it gets a leader. I believe it now has a 4 lb leader. I wish I had done it years before. That rod will cast 4lb mono and a 1/16 jig a long way but the Nanofil really takes off. With anything over 1/16 I have to be careful on the first few casts until I get used to it or it will be out in the woods. Never used the 6 or 8 lb. it also softens just a little bit as it is used and loses some of the stiffness that it comes from the factory with. Double uni knots for the leader on both the 4 and the 2 I use have worked well for me so far. Bring us up to speed when the shipment comes, I for one and interested in hearing about it. Thanks.

i tried the nanofil 8lb first on my Tatula 1000LT first since this reel gonna be use for both bass and crappie. I cannot comment on distance just yet since it is compared to 10lb braid on ci4 2500. So far I’m not so impress due to floatation of the line (lure is 1/16oz Neko rig trick worm). I’ll try lighter lure with crappie rod later.

I seldom chase any green fish and usually pitch a spinner bait in eighth ounce when I do. I did break out the baitcasters last year and threw the legs off of a plastic frog to catch one bass. I like it when it works but there’s a lot of pressure on my home waters here. Floatation of the line isn’t a factor for me, very little finesse presentation. Wish I was more help.

Finally got out to test the package I put together. 8' duck commander double touch with pfluger arbor spooled with 6# suffix 832 advance and a 1/32 oz. Jig head dressed with a trout magnet purple redemption.

Figured out pretty quick that I could throw it far enough to learn. Maybe 40 ft. The line showed a few stressed spots early but it could be me not being used to it. The color didn't impress me (lime green) long it faded quick. I did manage a few bg and one measuring crappie fishing a finesse style. I'm learning and enjoying it.

I have 2 or 3 kinds of 6lb braid, some maybe 4lb. For the life of me I can’t tell which brand is which. Hate to throw it all out and start again but I’m not really impressed with the way any of it works with a 1/32 or less. The trials and lessons continue......

I know some was Gliss, not sure of the others. Some was stiff too. I’m ready to find some I like, not one for eleven different lines and such.

You'll be able to throw a 1/32 oz jig a long ways with 2 lb Fireline crystal, the diameter is only 1/2 lb ...think about that for a second.

I tried 4lb nanofil today not bad at all with total 1 gram trout magnet. I could get 35-40’ on Sahara 750 (not full spool) I hope I can get even better distance with 2000 spool size (should be here in couple days)

I used nanofil years ago, it's too weak and flimsy, fireline 2 lb is the way to go it's... tried- and-true.
