If these doesn’t work I might try Fireline crystal next.
I have a 6’6” Lightning rod, an older version now out of production. My favorite crappie rod, a medium action with a soft tip. I spooledit with 4lb Nanofil about two years ago. Knowing it’s lack of abrasion resistance, it gets a leader. I believe it now has a 4 lb leader. I wish I had done it years before. That rod will cast 4lb mono and a 1/16 jig a long way but the Nanofil really takes off. With anything over 1/16 I have to be careful on the first few casts until I get used to it or it will be out in the woods. Never used the 6 or 8 lb. it also softens just a little bit as it is used and loses some of the stiffness that it comes from the factory with. Double uni knots for the leader on both the 4 and the 2 I use have worked well for me so far. Bring us up to speed when the shipment comes, I for one and interested in hearing about it. Thanks.
