    Default Worth the wait?

Ordered a Luvias 2004 from 3 different companies on Amazon for $262 (Amazon gave me a $60 credit) all 3 came back as not it stock. Now the ones on Amazon have gone up to $317. Is the new Luvias 2020 going to be worth the wait and will Feb be a honest date.

I am going to say this, but, A Shimano Sahara is just as good. Smooth as silk and throws far. $79 will get you one. I will get flack for this. Now, the line is a different subject- the new JDM lines are superior to our American based lines, and they make a big difference. They are not cheap but, well worth it, my 2cts

Yeah...and instead of companies worry about ball bearings, they should be trying to develop a good rear drag, which makes more sense, than a front drag.

Yes it is worth the wait most assuredly.....and order from Digitaka when they get it. Will be cheaper than from Amazon.

    Thanks,
I'll wait for the 2020. Digitaka is the only shop that has mentioned them.

Just curious....have you ever used a “Made in Japan” spinning reel in the past few years? Is it going to catch you more fish...probably not. But the machining...tolerances....smoothness.....line management....quality, is far superior to a Shimano Sahara....not even close really. Just wondering which JDM reels you have used that you are comparing the Sahara to? I always like to get input from folks who have experience with JDM gear.....be it good or bad.

I also had quite a few binding issues with Shimanos... that ran me away from them and I am kind of glad it did because I love my Daiwa’s

The Stradic CI4+ can't touch a Luvias IMO, and I hate not having an anti-reverse switch. Rear drag has tiny drag washers compared to spool drag, and a smooth drag is essential for the light lines I use. I do have a Cardinal 3 with rear drag - made in the 70s. Tiny tiny drag washers. I use it for bream only.
