Default Why I知 trying this line.

I love fishing 1/64 ounce jigs for bluegill. To get what I want in casting distance I use lines from .125mm down to .105mm. Those lines are rated at a true 2 pounds. The Sunline Troutist Area Meister is using an extrusion process that produces 3# test line at 2# test diameters, .128mm. I love fishing Dale Hollow and Center Hill for bluegill. But when when fishing those 2 lakes in the spring for bluegill you best be ready to tangle with a lot of Smallies between 18-22 inches. It can be very stressful.....LOL. This line will allow me to fish those waters for bluegill....readers.....yet give me a lot more confidence when one of those Smallies hit.

So does this line have the monofilament property of stretch? Is it as sharp on the bite detection as the Esters?

Finesse fishing for multi-species is my preferred method so this sounds very interesting (but somewhat expensive.) As you guys use it please report back with your results. I use a light braid with a very light fc leader and have no problem handling smallies with it. I seldom cast less the 1/32 tho'.

It has good stretch......great casting distance. It in no way has the sensitivity of the ester lines. While I guess one could say this line is expensive, in my opinion it is not. I used a spool of Varivas 2.5# test for 1.5 years. It was in as good a shape when I took it off as the day I spooled it up. I expect the Sunline to last just as long. I love the ester line....but there are just some fishing situations where I shouldn稚 be using it. The line is as easy to see as the orange Varivas I was using. I can tell you the 2 meters of stealth black they have every 10 meters is very hard to see....at least for my old eyes. This line will be the nylon lineup in my mix of ester....FC.....braid. They sell this line from 2-4 pounds in half pound increments.

    Regards

I purchased mine from Chris at Finesse Fishing. Neither Plat or Digitaka carry it. You can get it at Global Rakuten but with shipping it is not any cheaper.

Alphahawk, what reel are you using it on?
If you cast it they will come.
