Tryp, this is my first line of this type. Pretty much domestic 2 lb and Nanofil in 2 lb is the extent of my experience. High hopes for what I ordered.

Skeet I have really tested the line. It will be a great tool to have on my reel targeting Smallies with the UL gear. I have caught a couple of hundred white bass the past 2 weeks with it. While only a few of them were decent sized fish the line performed flawlessly. Casting distance is superb....the line is limp and so far does not show any signs of memory. The visibility of the orange portion of the line is very good. The smoke color portion of the line that is used to tie to the lure is almost invisible to my eyes. It is certainly a game changer for me.

Keep it going boys, this is a great thread, thank you, Alphahawk for the info.
Do you use any f/c? If not what do you do when the you’ve used up the 2m of black line and you’re into the orange. Looking to order some of this line and giving it a try after only using 2lb mono in the past. Would this match up with a Trout Slayer rod?
The trout slayer rod was probably designed to be fished with the 2lb sos line so I see no reason why another 2lb line wouldn’t work just fine... just my 2 cents
I have one of the trout slayer rods with the airwave guides. While it did OK last weekend with Stren Crappie in 2lb hi vis, I wasn’t overly impressed. I’ve heard a lot of hype about them but it doesn’t cast as well as some of my other rods with regular guides. Even the 2lb Nanofil wasn’t exemplary. This morning I wound on some 3lb fireline as backing and the entire spool of the area Meister and I’m happy to report that it casts about 10 to 15’ further than with anything else I’ve tried so far. The jig used in all comparisons was a 1/43 ball head with a body of some sort on each. Hope this helps, I’m going through the learning curve with this stuff too. Man, it is tiny.

Jim I have not had that issue yet. I used a spool of nylon Varivas 2.5# test for a year.....their hi-vis color for the line at that time was orange.....now it is green. But I used an FC leader when using that line. There were also times I used it without any leader and I did not notice any decrease in my catch rate. So when I use up the 2 meter section of the smoke color I will just tie to the orange. I used the ester line and the Varivas nylon line when I was doing reviews on the Trout Slayer rod and both cast just fine....so I’m think this line will work very well with it. Of course this a trout line but I will very rarely use it for trout fishing. I bought it to use for white bass and smallmouth.
