    Questionable ice but I needed to fish so I hit up the neighborhood retention pond this morning predawn!     Sounds like a good time! No ice fishing going on in Arkansas. It looks like those reels are attached to the rods with rubber bands? Is that an ice fishing thing?

    They are actually held on with castration rings, common on ice rods, because most rod handles are too short for a regular reel seat.
