    Default OH MY

I was having a great day even though the wind was blowing 3 million miles an hour. People ask me why I fish in such conditions and I answer if I wait for perfect or good weather I never would get to go.
Anyway, I was wearing out the gills,

With a 1/32 oz roadrunner head and a bison trout magnet. Most were in 6 to 10 foot of water around boat docks with grass. The water was a little off colored, probably due to the wind that has not stopped blowing all year.
All of a sudden I had a hit and I reeled into like I normally do and it didn’t move. Catfish I figured, but I was wrong.

6.14 pounds on a TFO 6 foot ultralight rod with the 1/32 oz roadrunner and bison trout magnet. The reel was a Lews laser light 75 from Walmart on 2 pound stren line. The drag worked good and smooth and the fight lasted what seemed like 5 or 6 minutes, but I’m not sure, you know how it is.

    What a day.

Oh my is right, a tussle with a Green Carp is always fun. I have been spooled, schooled and broke off by a many of the green and brown varieties here in TN. We may not grow them as big up here, but they will stretch the UL to its limits. When I catch a big one up in the Gill beds in the Spring and Summer I relocate them to the middle of the lake

Congrats. A catch like that makes the whole trip worth it. I caught about a 2-3 lb bass on my ultralight setup and thought I had a whale I can only imagine what the beast you caught must have felt like. Awesome!
