Sorry to hear about losing your favorite rod, but hopefully a replacement can be made or you can recover it. Nice catch!
Thanks for the replies. I thought about diving for it but I can’’t hold my breath that long. I think I will try to fish for it tomorrow, the old stringer trick sounds good.

A big heavy rattle trap does good in search mode too.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Good luck on finding the rod, have fished a few out with an old stringer and a heavy rattle trap. Lost one in some large scattered rocks and my buddy who just happened to have an Aqua View camera was on the lake that evening, he found it quickly between the rocks where my grappling attempts could not reach. Nice catch also!
Nice job catching...glad to hear you were not hurt when you fell in. Hopefully you can fish that rod out....I have heard real good things about the TFO rod.
Sorry about your "temporary" loss...unless someone gets it b4 you, it's not going anywhere! = my recommendation(adding a section of pool noodle can make it a marker too!

I tired to fish the rod out today but couldn’t get it, there were to many brush piles and I all could hook was the brush. I “fished” at it for about 45 minutes using several methods before I gave up.
The wife felt sorry for me, so I ordered two more tonight.

Now you need to take the wife out to eat to say thanks, or cook her a mess of crappie!
