That is a nice looking rod, the reel seat looks interesting. I have a 1pc St Croix 7ft Panfish UL rod and the inability to travel with it safely was the only reason I started looking for a two piece UL rod. The 2lb Nanofil braid casts like a dream, and is available through Fish USA, one of the board sponsors. I had no luck with it holding a leader knot but I just tie directly to the lure and have no problems with line shy fish and water clarity.

That is a very nice rod, I’d like to play with one a minute.

Stan, I use a double uni (5 turns each) for the 2lb nano to 4lb clear Stren with good success. The nano has no abrasion resistance which drove me to using a leader.
