    Default Salted Shrimp

Then I rinse them off, and store in a small Ziplock Snack Bag, the smallest size. I've tried all sorts of ways to store them, but the small bags are the best. You can easily keep 300+ pieces in one of these bags. Each Kroger bag makes hundreds and hundreds of shrimp. I've gotten as many as 1,000 when I cut them small, but I don't recommend this. A friend made the season one year on one Kroger bag, for less than $5.00. Just keep the salted shrimp bits in the regriferator and they will last forever. But...the fish take them so fast you might be surprised how quick they go!

I have used shrimp for years but never thought of putting salt on them. I will have to get some of the salad size and try it out.

Salted shrimp and salted clams works great. Have used both for years. Started using both commercial fishing salt water and found the St Johns Shellcrackers, Gills and Cats love both as well. Not to mention the ease of storage. Great bait.

Yeah...I wish squid would work, because they would have a hard time getting it off the hook.

I made me a batch and used em last Thursday, salted and added garlic powder. Tipped jigs and caught cats, wiper, ditch pickle, drum, and 22 crappie. No bluegill which was what I went for.Name: 20191006_194539.jpg

Proof enough for me that I need to give shrimp a try. Nice catch!
