My lake water temp is dropping fast, now at 66 due to a few cold night. Crappie already moving out so hard to find in shallow now.

Nice fish. You ever fish with wax worms? It is rare to find a bait shop here in Mid-TN that carries them.

    thnx guys
Really like the breed too Gary. Two of mine are rescues.
J_B - 66!! was 73 this morning at Lake Perris + down another foot
I don't use the wax worms Randy - have tried them before. Didn't like the way worked with the jigs. Out here they are too expensive. I've had good luck with ordering crickets & mealworms from ebay.
Thanks Sickle Hook thanked you for this post

Any pet stores around? I used to get all my meal/wax worms from Petco. They had much better bait than any of the bait stores.

I bought a box of 50 meal worms from PetSmart and started my own bin of MW's. I am getting a good crop of worms in my second generation of worms. I have built two additional bins and plan to order a thousand worms from "Uncle Jim's Worm Farm" that I will split between the two bins along with starting to fish out of them right away.

    Hey Sonny
Got me a beautiful 9 wk old sable shepherd about 3 day ago. If he grows into those feet he’s going to be a bruiser. If I can figure out how I’ll post a picture. Us old timers sometimes don’t exactly cotton to all this new technology. Hope you are doing well.
    Take Care
    Gary
