Slowed way down from Monday - water temp and level continue to drop. Tried a deeper troll with heavier jigs - nothing - not even marks. 21 to 17 FOW seemed to hold some of the better fish. No crickets today - used meal worms with the jigs.

Sure looks like a pretty good bad day. Pretty fish Sonny. Boat came home today and didn’t empty the wallet.

Beauties again Sonny! Do you tip your jigs with crickets and meal worms to enhance the appearance/action or scent of your hand ties? Or is it both?

Nice catch. I have never used mealworms for Gills, but plan on giving them a shot. We have started a colony at school in one of the Biology classes to demonstrate the insect life cycle. They are starting slow but I hope to get the excess buggers to feed to the Gills later this year.

Congrats on those monster fish even though it was a slow day...Those are huge by comparison to the 5-6" gills we get here.
Skeet, glad you got it back without breaking the wallet. What was wrong with it???

    thnx for the comments guys
Gr8 news Tim - especially the cheap part - expecting report w/pics
Going to play with a pair of UL Fantasticks on Saturday Randy.
Matt - The crickets add casting weight, slow the descent of the jig, and act like "strike" indicator (let's me know if fish are interested). Meal worms are OK - I get a reaction to them sometimes.
They work Stan & cheap bait.

James, best I can figure is a bad fuel tank connection or it wasn’t vented. Ran great for the tech and the only thing different was the fuel cell. He also said that the compression was as it should be and spark was hot. More in my post on the FL board.
