Update on the McFly knock offs. I finally received my order from China of the McFly vibration lures knock off. The difference that I can see is the off brand has a #8 hook vs the Magbite has a #6 hook. Which is fine by me as I think the #8 hook will be more conducive for catching bluegill. The off brand hook.....while sharp.....is not as sharp as the Magbite hook. The off brand does not have the glow spot in the bottom either...or the 3 gram mark. Both of these lures are made in China but of course the Magbite brand is made for the Japanese market. It doesn’t surprise me about the knock off hook not being as sharp.....less money. I have not had a chance to fish these yet but I expect them to have the same action. If they do fish the same I’ll be very happy as they are about 1/4 the price of the Magbite. The Magbite is on the bottom..it is the black one. You can see the packaging is slightly different also with the naming.

Since the vendor did not allow color selection at order, did they send you a varied assortment?

Randy are you familiar with Bill Modica's spoon method? It's right up your alley.
