    Default Beach & Creek Fishing

Haven’t been fishing much at all. Just got back from the beach and fished 2 times while there (once at 1 am for an hr and once at 7 am for an hr)... 2 flounder and a couple crabs fell for a 3” zman minnowz... hard to get any time to fish with 2 girls under 3...

Tried out a new bait today after church. The bait is called a anisoptera from eurotackle. It is a 1.5” bait that I rigged up on there 1/32 oz tungsten jighead. The creek is pretty small and the water was low and crystal clear. I had the 6’1” corto ready to rock with a daiwa exist loaded up with 2lb sos. I didn’t fish a leader but the fish didn’t seem to mind. Fished for around 30 minutes and brought 6 smallies and 3 sunfish to the bank.

Nice trip. Kinda looks like a stonefly, and we all know how the smallest love those. Like the mixed bag.

Nice work! I can relate to the need to squeeze in fishing time when you can. Last summer when we went to the beach, I brought a little fishing gear but never used it due to lack of time. The kids kept me jumping the whole time. Love the creek fishing. I bought some baits from Eurotackle as well. I really like the B-vibe and Fat Assassin. Both work great for sunfish and small bass.

Good catch, glad to see you get some time to wet a line. That Anisoptera looks great, I think I have some of those buried in the tackle bag somewhere, just get stuck on the TM seems like. I tried several of the Eurotackle baits last winter/early spring with success.

They are really annoying to get straight on the hook... one disadvantage imo... they did bring in the fish though... made to resemble the larvae stage of a dragonfly I believe... cool looking bait and has some scent to it as well... glad to get out for sure...

Good trip. Hopefully you can find more time as the girls get older. I'm hoping the same for me. One is 5 other is 2. Very bright jig head. Never fished with tungsten, can you tell the difference when fishing?
