    Default Another 12"+ Brutegill @ LP 09 09 19

Wasn't expecting another so soon - thinking Wednesday should be the hog day - very low wind and overcast. I think they are going to spawn shortly but in deeper water. Did some culling (15) today, for a lady friend that fishes the dock. Tu helped her out yesterday as well. Some of these elder people are fishing for the pantry - so I do what I can when I can.

The new depth finder is paying off big time - 3 out of the 6 way points are marking 12" spots. Forgot to mention that I broke a tip on an inexpensive JDM rod yesterday - my fault. Only 2" from the top - gave it to Tu - let him deal with it. Then I did it again today another broke tip and I don't know what I did. I deserve it - need to respect the equipment more. Don't worry guys - already looking at replacements....

OK - the fishing - outstanding, especially with lower lake activity. Water temp is dropping - 79*F. Water level has stayed the same for a couple of weeks now. Last fish was over 12" - wanted to stay but I am beat up and need t o save the energy to fish the 11th & 12th. I think this my 7th 12" CNBG for this season - and there's about 10 weeks to go

Very nice! You better get you a freaking Hawg Trough measuring board...it goes out to 30 inches....your board is about to be obsolete.......LOL.

Go ahead and rub it in. I loved being at work today. Great fish Sonny, glad you got to go. And thanks for fixing up the woman on the dock. Got a story about something like that I’ll tell you sometime. You’re a good man!

    Stan - 12.5 X15.5 = 2.5lb

Hear that a lot Jd hardly anybody does - Junglejim, from your area, has been out here a few times. He got one that was real close to 12" this spring and his PB RE is 4lb9oz from Lake Havasu.

No worries Tim - I clock in @ 0600 and clock out @ 10, LOL. Times are tough for a lot of people out here right now - ain't right. I've released more than my share so I don't mind harvesting a few, for special people, to enjoy.

I told Sonny when I was out there in April that he needs a bigger board and huge gills like the big girl are proof of that. I witnessed his first two 12's of the season and the area is still producing some giants. Only place I know of where bluegill can and do kick your rear end. I had that happen to me several times when I was out there. Just to strong to keep them out of the trees.
