I have big coppernose bluegills where I fish here in Bama.... they just destroy my 2 and 4# line every time I go.

Every time I get home I have to change out my line for the next trip.

thats what i was thinking , as hard as the ones fight that i catch i could just imagine what the really big ones would do.i have my rods strung up with 2lb sos and seaquar ( sp ? ) , . it would be hard to watch one just blast right by me after i got my first look at him.

We will have to do a trip trade when the weather cools off. I have a couple of places that the fishing is pretty good.

what a super gill , sure don't see 12 inch sunfish in these parts . and the girth is tremendous …...mighty fine wild fish for sure .
i know they raise them that big in ponds all the time but to be sure a wild one that size is just simply marvelous.
i wonder how old that fish is myself .
    congrats brother on that monster
