    Default Two big 12" CNBGs @ LP 09 05 19


    Epic day for the big CNBGs - reminded me of fishing with my buddy Big Jim. Figured out what has been stealing jigs & breaking hearts - finally got a couple of big 12s to the net. The 1st one was a spent male - 12.25 X 15 = 2.3lbs the 2nd one was a post spawn female - 12.825 X 15.5 = 2.5lbs. Both are young mature fish and still swimming at LP. CPR works.
    Almost went to another location but glad I decided to try the road again. New depth finder is really paying off - have to figure out how to get my old way points off of the defunct one. The Bass are still trying to eat hooked 10"+ CNBGs. Watched Prankster fishing for the green carp with 2lb test. He was getting hooked up but too many trees. Water temp was 82*F, trolled mostly 17 to 24 FOW with Chubs and Belly spinners. Fished for about 3 hours had to get home. Going to be hard to stay off of the pond...…

    That female is a monster, big and wide. Getting closer to that 13 inch mark, longest I've seen. She will be 13 next year for sure.
