Default some mid water action @ LP 08 22 19

Mostly 10s today . 1st three fish were suspended in 39 FOW - old girls with fat stomachs. GPS wouldn't work - done - need to replace the whole unit. I can sort of find the structure with out the GPS but it makes it a lot easier with it. Surface temp was 81 and fished in 39 to 17 FOW. No bass today.

Great catch, especially on suspended fish. Trolling I assume?

Nice fish Sonny! Yeah sonars with GPS definitely make things a little easier trying to find spots. My father in law is pretty old school. Even though he has a basic sonar/GPS, he still uses triangulation with land marks on the bank to locate his brush piles. He is amazingly accurate too. I have tried to do it but am not very good at it.

Good fish Mister! I’ve gotten used to my gps too. Some places I don’t need it but bigger waters it’s a gotta have. Thanks for taking us with.

Pretty fish. I’m thinking if I want to catch some 10 inch fish again.....which is a big bluegill in TN.....I’m going to have to make the 125 mile one way drive to Dale Hollow Lake come spring. Which is the last place I caught 10 inch fish almost 3 years back. Heck...9 inch fish are not that prolific in Mid TN much anymore. I take it you live pretty close to LP?

    Regards

    thnx for the comments guy
Stan - was trying to troll ~.8 mph, had to deal with a strong breeze and a flaky GPS (ordered a new one last night).
Matt & Tim - I use to bluewater fish (hours of trolling) out of pangas (local style long boat - radio are the only electronics) down in Baja. Was always amazed on how the guides could triangulate our position with no land marks. I think they used clouds and birds.
Think you need a "bucket list" trip out here Randy. I'm ~15 min. from the lake and keep my boat in the marina there. There's campgrounds @ LP and there's a KOA close by too. Moreno Valley has some motels in the area also. Prime time is getting ready to start.....
