Default First fish on the TraPara

Well I made it out for a about 15 minutes of fishing after work today and got to give the TraPara a try. First fish was probably a 8" blue gill and he put up a good fight. 2nd fish was about a 7" blue gill and alot of fun. The next stike took off pulling line, headed toward a downed tree in the water. Well with 4 lb test this had me worried, but the drag on the reel was set right and the line did not break. I played the fish for about 5 minutes before he came up where I could get a look, it was a carp between 3 and 4 lbs. I got him over to where I was fishing but the bank was too steep for me to get down and when I tried to pull him up with the line it broke and he flopped back in the water. This was a real try out for the rod an it performed great. I am very happy with my purchase. I hope to try it out on some bream and spotted bass tomorrow morning.Name: 20190906_161256.jpg

Congrats. First of many to come I'm sure. The weight of that rod amazes me.
