Glad to see you out and doin the deal, I know that you get excited just knowing you’re going. You’re not the only one dealing with the heat. I think one or more of my meds are messing with my tolerance to it. I have always been prone to sweat, heavier than average. My years in construction taught my body how to act, I guess. Since my surgery last year I’m good for a while and then get to feeling extra hot and pump sweat like no tomorrow. Also takes me longer to cool down. The only reason I bring this up is to check with the doc about what you’re taking and see about heat tolerance while taking it. Like many I both start and quit early but for different reasons until lately. Keep jackin up those green fish, I love the surprise when they try to take the rod from your hands. Keep us posted.....

A love a good grab bag day Randy! The heat can be a killer, especially if you aren’t acclimated to it. I find that if I keep some of those special cooling towels in a cooler with ice water and put them around my neck, it helps me stay cool while working. When it looses it’s cooling, I toss it back in the cooler and grab a fresh one. It works pretty good.

I pushed it little too far the other day also. My fish decided to take the shade and leave me in the sun instead of vice-versa. Was pretty hot but the ride back to the ramp cooled me off. Then I had to walk up the steep ramp and across the asphalt to fetch the truck. When I closed the door to crank it and start backing the heat of the truck almost put me down. And I've spent many years in a steel mill.

Concerning the heat, I have been using a powdered electrolyte you mix with water. No carbs, naturally sweetened I am pretty sure. I get it off of Amazon and it's name is Ultima. I use it to make me feel better and helps with the cramps when you sweat a lot. Good luck. This is not an add. It is just a good product. I have used it for close to 3-4 yrs now.

I’ll have to give that a try. During my 21 years in Saudi I golfed a lot on packed sand courses. A friend and I would do 36 holes a day on the weekend. Of course we drank plenty of water.....had rest areas throughout the course with shade. But when we would come in about 3 in the evening......get cleaned up and meet up for dinner at about 5 we would always talk about how our joints hurt. A Danish company started selling a sports drink in Saudi called “Quency”. Looked like Gatorade but when drinking it you could tell it had a lot more electrolytes than Gatorade just from the taste. Not a drink you would enjoy sitting inside but out in the desert....drinking it cold...tasted pretty darn good. Long story short.....when we started drinking Quency our joint pains went away completely.

    Regards
