The dog days of Summer are coming, usually gets a little tougher in August up here. At least you went and found out if they were willing to play.
We had a slow moving front camp out and dominate our weather for about 5 days. Rain showers, some heavy, were every day. Got my shot to go this morning and noticed that it was quieter than usual, even the gar weren’t busy. So I started anyway, and waited, and waited.......and waited some more. Finally got a 3” bluegill. Glad I wasn’t hungry. And that’s pretty much the way it went for three hours. Never boated a fish over 6”, though I did lose one boatside that MIGHT have passed the mark. In at 7, out before 10. Might have caught 15 littles but it sure beat sitting home wondering if they was bitin. Hope it gets a little better next week, til then.....Skeet.

Tough day but definitely better than working around the house like I did.

still sounded like a good time on the water. I'm still looking for a free day to get out. Thanks for the report.
Happy you got out. I’m chomping at the bit to go.

I bet you are Randy. Hope your healing process is coming along nicely.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
When the weather is hot and sticky, that's the time to..... A) Try it at nite. B) Reorganize tackle. C) Go fishing anyways with low expectations but cruise with nose glued to sonar screen with hopes of finding a new sweet spot or several. D) Have an afternoon nap in the a/c.
Or E) Wade or Float fish a cooler water creek
But D is awfully tempting this time of year. Ha ha ha!
