    Default Hybrid?

Took a short trip about two hours and this was one of my visitors. I have caught a few colored like this, and I know part of him is CNBG but he has a dark orange or brown on the front of his chest or belly, and brown tips on his fins. Pretty fella. Is it a hybrid or just went to a different makeup artist? And fight was his middle name.

It was a good fish, but colored different than most of the coppernose I get. The tips of the fins had a bright color like a mix of tan and orange and the brown that was on his chest(?) was more prominent when he was first taken from the water. I agree, they’re all beautiful. This one just showed some different colors than most. It would be cool if I had a cameraman to capture what I speak of.

The one lake here in TN......that I can fish with copper nose.....has them colored like that. While I may catch some that length they are nowhere near as heavy as what you catch. Still fun and as you say very beautiful.

Ok, so it’s just a pretty CNBG. The colors are outstanding when first removed from the water. I’ve seen video of mahi-mahi that are colored up strong, but ten minutes later are unremarkable. The transition happens quickly. I just wondered if I had stumbled into a crossbred fish in my little domain. Thanks for the answers everyone.
