Default Kayak-Slip Float Fly Waxie-Long-cast Micro Jigs

Kayak-Slip Float Fly Waxie-Long-cast Micro Jigs

Plagued with 1 warm day here and there and 4-5 days of cold front I finally find a nice day to get out on the water and find the pulse of the panfish.
Water temps dropped from 70’s to low 60’s. I did not see any signs of bedding B.Gills and Crappies were nowhere in sight.
Just nice to get out on the water and paddle a bit.
I took along a couple slip float setups and a long-cast micro jig rod to hopefully tag a couple fish.
Found a few quality… but did not find the numbers.

At least you got a break in the weather Ken. Nice mix of fish. I need to seriously investigate using the slip bobber..

Thanks for taking us along. Enjoyed the video. I don’t think you could use the yak like that down here unless you wanted to be a snack. More soon?

Hey thanks LH... weather has been horrendous for fishing... for now im limited to a kayak and a local BOW that has been devastated by a 9' drawdown in water levels... the area i have access to was reduced to a small river where most of the panfish setup shop down stream with higher water levels. boat motor and tow vehicle are down for the moment for repairs... bad bad start. just so happy to feel a few fish but have to work hard for them.
yeah slip floating for me is very addictive... i tagged the largest and 3rd place green sunfish for Michigan in 2017 it just adds to the addiction... i divide my time between jigging and the float...
yeah i can picture you doing very well with the float in early spring in your area.

Great video, enjoyed it. I have used a slip float on occasion with braided line, it is fun.
