Default 2019 Preview Of the Upcoming Slip Float Season for Trophy Panfish

June is a great slip floating month!

-- I'm having a rough start to my fishing season, car problems, outboard motor problems, health and everyone in Michigan has been plagued by the poor weather conditions and cold startup to the season… it has been so cold up here lately... I've seen no spawning activity for the bluegill… crappie started about 10 days ago.

-- Since I balance 1/3 of my time fishing the float for panfish… I decided to do a video series focusing on the subject of slip floating through the open water seasons…

-- Methods, equipment, locations, and rigging will all be detailed.

Hey Slip, I wondered what happened to you lately, haven't seen any bluegill video's.

Come on down here to AL to make a video.... I'm catching big Bluegills every time I go.

Thanks BluegillHunter... what a bad start to the open water season for me.... after much anticipation for spring to arrive... it was delayed for weeks to unseasonably cold weather... snowed twice in April!..
once the weather started to roll around my main driver / tow vehicle trans went out... so no fishing with the boat or driving to fishing spots. then discovered major problems with the outboard and needs to be serviced! so i relied on my go-to walk to spot either from shore or with the kayak was on my home lake was down to minus 9 foot levels to maintain a dam this reduced the lake to just a creek in my location in the upper area of the reservoir... with the normal levels returning this spring i discovered it became nearly void of all panfish... must of went down stream with the water levels... this will take years to recover to any decent level of fish activity in the upper reaches of the lake... bad, bad start to the season.

thanks...one day i will take you up on that offer!
