Barkley and Kentucky are funny lakes because we don't catch redear outside of the months of April and May. It's too bad, I would like to pattern them in the fall like I used to do in Indiana.

Nice fish. They don't stop eating - go deep. I found a "plateau" that's holding CNBGs, Redear & Crappie along the deeper sides. The REs & Crappie are post spawn and the Bluegill are Pre & post spawn. The Res are still on the beds here.

A lot of truth in what Ledhed said. 2 weeks ago I had to get within a foot of the bank for a strike. This week the better fish were out in deeper water, the ends of structure instead of tight inside of it.

I’d take a day with the big crackers like you’re holding anytime. Very nice fish.
