Default Good evening for big Gills

My best fishing partner and best friend ever, (my beautiful wife) had good evening looking for bedded gills at Fall Creek Falls lake last evening. Started off the evening with a couple of 1.5 lb bass then found our 1st bed of gills. They seem to tear up our 1/32 oz squirrel tail jigs tipped with either a wiggler or wax worm. Caught few smaller ones but half hour before dark the bigger gills came alive. Wife caught 2 bonus fish of evening both being cats 1 was 6lb that she wrestled forever seemed like on her 4lb test praying to land in the yak. When finally did was about 29 inch and roughly 6lb, so proud of her for being patient and landing. Her 2nd cat was as lively in not being happy he grabbed the squirrel tail with wiggler, but was about 2.5 lbs. We ended evening with several nice gills and the moon lit lake was just great to end the afternoon of descent trip. We all want to catch fish each time we are able to go, but just being out in this beautiful world the Lord has made accessible to us is speechless!! We love to fish from our feel free 11.5 lure kayaks and we do alot in several places in the state, but being together and the entire experience would be worth it even if no fish we're caught. Very good evening! We will be after them again in few days when we are free, hope y'all will be enjoying the same results. God bless and set da hook!!Name: 9779.jpg

You are blessed in more ways than one. Your wife shares your passion for this. In 39 years my wife has graced my boat less than 10 times. She won’t tell me no but won’t join in. That was a very good trip, and some very pretty background. I was in the Manchester area for 10 years and miss it a lot. Enjoyed your post and look forward to more.

Good times on the water with your wife catching fish don't get any better.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Healthy looking brim! I am probably going to launch at watauga lake next week and get a mess of those myself.
