Five of my 1/64 feather jigs weigh about 1 gram, so these jigs are on the heavy side... is this correct ?

    A 1/64 is .442 grams. So I order the .5 gram.

I have some of these and have not really fished with them to make a determination. I am so happy with the Daiwa Gekkabijin I have not made myself go out and fish with them. I'm sure you know but for others reading this the SS size hook is a normal J hook. The S and M size is a J hook that is slightly canted upward. I would think that one would get quick hook penetration with the Azista also....especially with those hooks canted upward.

    Yep. If it’s a gram, it’s about 1/32 oz.

I noticed the Daiwa gekkabijin jigs I use for crappie/bass (1.5g #4 hook) the hook is very brittle. I had one stuck in the roof of a spot's mouth in the tough part, and it broke when I used my fish pliers to pull it (I did get the point out and released the fish). I just got some 1g with #6 hook to try on bream/crackers.

Yes...one thing I found out when I started buying JDM jig heads is US market micro jig heads are not the weight they say they are.....nearly all of them are heavier....many times a lot heavier. One thing about buying JDM jig heads....once you get used to the gram standard.......if it says .5 grams...that is what it weighs.
