since I was rigged up for trout this winter on my primary crappie rod had 2 lb SOS on it and had no problem landing the bigger crappie i was into in february and march so just kept it on. on my other rods had 4 lb camo mr crappie cheap stuff and it was surprisingly excellent and tough and didn't have any bigger crappie or bass break it off. SOS saw better results and cast farther from bank on the trout and didn't have any of the bigger fish break off.

Personally I don't see much difference when I am fishing with other guys using heavier line and with BG especially don't see it as being an issue but that's me. Biggest hassle with 2 lb is tying jigs on as it is a true pain and hard to see for these older eyes. On crappie I use 6 and 8 lb hi vis and really like that and don't see any issues when compared with guys fishing next to me using clear line.

I'm liking the 4 lb Slime Line a lot, seems much more limp and manageable than the Mr Crappie. I've also been using 2 lb Trilene Sensation and like it, but wish it was in a hi-viz color. I've complained to Berkely via email and y'all should, too. Great stuff, limp, no wind knots, tough, but costs a little more. I caught a 4 lb+ bass on it no problem.

No time to talk. Kanye's screaming for his dinner. Gotta boil water for the ramen.
