Day 1 JJJ fishing @LP 04 23 19
Got into some nice fish - Jim caught a LP PB 10.75" CNBG (tied Lake Skinner PB). Couldn't get to the 11 mark but we did find some big 10s. Ran into a handful of 9s - almost kept some - most were females. Had to make some adjustments, again, water level went down ~2'. Got my 1st RE for the year, not a toad but encouraging. We're going to sling some football Autos and worms tomorrow. I dropped a very big fish today - head down in shame.

Way to go LH & JJ! Are the BGs any shallower yet? What's the temp now? Must gotten warmer, looks like the water has that green algae in it that ends up on your line. You guys get any of that wind? Blowing pretty good here around 10am. Hope Jim breaks his PB..

PB - fish are going to the beds - water is 68*F - bigger fish are in 24 FOW in front of the beds. There are fish on beds in 5 FOW. They are dropping the water on a spawn.... Algae bloom is going on too. We got off the lake ahead of the wind. Tomorrow is iffy but the rest of the week should be good. Lake Havasu is getting too much wind.

Good to see Jim again for the first time in many years. Look good Jim. Can’t think of anything I’d rather do on a vacation than catch toad panfish. You guys must be living right. Great fish and congrats on the PB.
