It would be nice to have the RB in Center Hill, I have never caught one there and pretty sure they are not there. Ive been catching a few gills on CH this week. hoping it will pick up very soon. Congrats on the RB Alphahawk.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I have fished Center Hill on and off for a long time. From 2009-2012 I caught so many 9 inch bluegill there it was unbelievable. As you know they have been working on the dam for a long time. After 2012 I would continue to fish there but it just did not produce the quality fish in numbers as it used to. Still....each spring I give it a go for a week or so to see if the lake is producing like it used to. After this spring they are supposed to bring the lake back up to normal pool for the first time in years....as soon as they get the ramp built at the dam. There are no redbreast in the lake.....as far as I know or I think I would have caught one. Back in those years I mentioned I would fish Center Hill 5 days a week form late March through May. It was off the charts good.....I went for bluegill but in between catching the bluegill I would get into big Smallies...and big crappie. I haven’t made my trip this year yet to check it out but will soon. It is only a 51 mile drive for me...if it ever gets back to the glory years it will probably be the only lake I will fish in the spring. I’m getting tired of the longer drives...LOL.

    Regards

Center Hill As of last week they have not turned on yet. I caught a few small hand size gills and one 11.5 shellcracker. Hope I get a chance to go this week. I have been using Trout Magnets a lot lately with the Bison being the star of the show. I just got some Sowbug I need to get in the water soon. Those Trout Magnets are addictive, thanks Alphahawk for turning me on to them.

I've caught a lot of Red "Bellies" in my life. I honestly have never seen one that big. That might have been some kind of record? Congrats!
