As someone who has mostly just bass fished and is just now starting to get into more pan fishing, how are you trolling such light lures? I would assume you would have to go very slow to not have the spinner want to work its way up the water column.

I'm using 2lb test with 7' & 7'6" Aji & Mebaru JDM rods (not using them as they were intended). I long line troll with the rods tilted down - watching the depth finder. Speed up or slow down depending on the structure or the fish. Where I am trolling at is in the 24 FOW and I am occasionally hitting tree tops.
