I make mine the length of the rod. After re-ties it become a few feet shorter.

Apparently there is some science to it using leader for trout, crappie, bluegill, and flounder always been about the same for me... but I have never caught a spot of a white bass... just not any where I fish...

What leaders to you recommend to use with the varisvas 2.3 lb ester line? Right now I still have a spool of seaguar fluoro in 2 lb but I知 thinking about ordering a couples of spools from the JDM market. I知 targeting crappie and bluegill using light jigs and small lures. Thx

Try to match diameter of leader to the ester as close as you can.

Wow, it took me almost a year to try out 4 different JDM lines, and I fish a lot from both the bank and from the boat. I look forward to your thoughts on all the above. I have two or three of those in my arsenal and are definitely keepers. Good luck and take pics to share here.

I have used the 2.5 lb Sunline (ester) 3 trips now and I like it pretty well... just curious to try the other ester line...
the 3 lb Sunline (ester) is for my dad and 1 spool is for me if I have a lot of break offs (don’t think I will but you never know??) it will probably take me forever to try out everything... I still have a Tenryu Rayz Spectra RZS51LL I haven’t tried (it is a thing of beauty)...

Just saw an ad on Lindners Angling Edge for Sufix Nanobraid. Looked it up real quick and found it on Amazon down to 2lb test. Has anyone tried this and can you offer any feedback? Is says it’s a dyneema line with more tension used during the braiding process. Interesting.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
