    Randy
High school buddy flew out in April last year - roundtrip to LA from Florida was $300. Fished a week and caught some nice 10s and 1nd 11s....

Lake Havasu has big Northern and hybrid Bluegills too. The problem is planning a fishing trip around the heat or the wind!

I am headed back to Havasu next month; I've never fished this lake so early. However, when we were there in 2016, our guide said that April was the prime month to catch good numbers of redear. Our trip in May was excellent, but with his advice, we moved up a month to see if it's really better. Have any of you fished Lake Havasu for bream in the early spring?

I wish we had some Coppernose here in SW TN. We do have some nice RED EARS!

I am in AK working and have been since Dec 16. Going back to TN tomorrow night. I have really missed my TN white trash life and ready to get back to it. I have asked and most here do not know what a crappie is. I am pretty sure there are none this far north....I am going back to garden and crappie catch hopefully, not fish.

... because they’re too busy catching trout and salmon.

If I were in Alaska, crappie would be the furthest thing from my mind.

I’ve been on trout all week.....no crappie or bluegill posts for me. They put some good ones in this year. It’s freaking addictive to catch those things!

    Regards

Agreed. Trout are awesome on UL tackle. There's a local pond stocked with rainbows. I've been giving the Tict Ice Cube a workout!

There's a blue heron that stands behind me when I fish. I always give him at least a trout or two. (Gave him four one day!)
