Getting harder to get out - have to settle for the smaller BGs.... Stayed mostly in 30 to 34 FOW. Hoping the bigger fish were deep but it looks like the 9" and the 10" fish are dominating the deeper water in the area I was fishing. Using heavier jigs to try and get under the small fish - not working.

Nice fish! How is the LMB population in LP? Is it a bass heavy lake? Just curious if that is one of the reasons LP grows such good sunfish.

Nice catch as always. 30-34ft water is definitely not the norm here when I think of Fall gills. I can usually find them suspended around structure in about 10-15ft water in October. Maybe I will start looking a little deeper.

    Thnx for the comments guys
Think the lake record is 16lbs Matt. Lots of Largemouth, some Spotted Bass, and hybrids. There is a population of Strippers (big fish) - supposedly they can't spawn in a reservoir - they get in from the aqueduct that feeds the lake. There are Channel and some Flathead catfish also. Bird predators are mostly Cormorants but sometimes Bald Eagles too. I think the forage fish - Shad and Shiners keep the pressure low on the CNBGs. Maybe you should come out and do a report or paper.. I'd like to know what's going on.

My bad - LOL - should have said "eaters". Water temp is down to 76* - these are the perfect "fish tacos".

I see I haven’t been the only one stretching a line and finding some fish. Some nice fish to make a man jealous. Hope you figure em out, that’s most of the fun. Take a look at the FL forum. Hope you get out again soon.

It's a good problem to have, when keepers are keeping you from getting to the biggun's. lol Nice catch and post.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
