Default No crappie bite to speak of .....

No problem , the bream are losing their lil bream minds at the ole river .
I only managed one crappie and the bream were bananas picking at my crappie jig .
2 fell victim to my crappie jig and the rest became pests …..
So I said you lil fellas want to play ? let me go get my xtralite out of the truck and a small jig .
and the next thing I told em was......SAY WHEN
lots were bedding and lots were out deep and they all wanted to play steal my bait .
but truth be known if the sheriff is in town its best to keep a low profile ...
so I whooped em like you know what on my lunch break and had me some bream fun.
them scrappy lil thangs brightened my day once again
some was in the river channel about 5 foot deep in 10 foot of water and some was up on the bank in 2 foot of water .
the bank fish were of course colored up and the channel fish not so much .
sure bent my lil whipper rod well ….frisky lil pups
lost my second jig to a large spotted bass
and lost my first jig to a I never saw what it was …..
    and there you have it
fun in the sun and shade

Those are some nice looking gills. Ours are deep now and I am stuck on the speckled fish, which are deep also but easy to find.

Nice break from work. I have a question, did you have a body on the small jig you caught several of the bream on, or fish it naked? Just wondering, Thanks.

that's a mean minner jighead from crazy angler . its a number 8 sickle hook and I think 1/64 and I use it bare with one crappie nibble on the point and drag it ever so slowly until the float goes down ...deep or shallow I run it the same way for bream ...works very well for sure to trick some bream into biting
