Default Some Gill action on polyester line.

Caught a bunch of smaller copper nose yesterday on the Fine Tail Banshee Area Trout Rod....lot of fun. The introduction in the video is just for the info....I’m all about trying new things and sharing the info I find on it. Got to say though that line is the most sensitive line I’ve ever used....I now know why the Japanese use that on their Ajing rods fishing at night.

    Regards

Thanks for all the kind words. I think this line will be super on panfish but I’m thinking if a Smallie hits with this line and that drag is not loose something is going to snap....LOL.

That line looks well suited for that small lake and application. My question is based on the observation of no visible cover in which you are fishing around. I do not see buck bushes, willow trees, pine tree laydowns or dock/pier pilings, only some bank grass and visible floating moss. These are all snaggy items that are present near or actually in areas I Gill fish, and certainly present while Crappie Fishing. Would you use this line in heavy cover scenarios? Would you use this line for sharp gilled temperate bass? I am looking at other lines, Flourocabon has memory issues on my equipment and I currently use 4lb Nanofil. It is .1mm diameter I believe and readily available. Thank you for the information and keep the videos coming.

I would. No matter what the cover, I'd never go higher that 4# for gills. For bass, I'd go heavier, but not much.
