Dacron is DuPont's trade name for polyester line. I don't see much point in paying huge prices for "specialty" braid for panfish, but that's just me. 2 pound test braid is available almost everywhere.

Yes it is the same.....I have used that before but it was only 1.5# test and I could not see it. Keep in mind this line has some manageability issues. I would make sure to keep it well below what you would normally spool up nylon mono. After I put it on the spool I would walk it all off and reel it back on to make 100 percent sure any line twist is out. Yes this seems like a lot of trouble but I fished this line again today and while it does have manageability issues it has a place on one of my reels. The jolt you get even when a tiny bluegill hits is just plain fun to me.

    Regards

I do not see buck bushes, willow trees, pine tree laydowns or dock/pier pilings, only some bank grass and visible floating moss. These are all snaggy items that are present near or actually in areas I Gill fish, and certainly present while Crappie Fishing. Would you use this line in heavy cover scenarios? Would you use this line for sharp gilled temperate bass? I am looking at other lines, Flourocabon has memory issues on my equipment and I currently use 4lb Nanofil. It is .1mm diameter I believe and readily available. Thank you for the information and keep the videos coming.
When I am around heavy cover I fish it just like if I was around no cover. I just take my chances. I don’t know if you would like this line....it does have manageability issues. This line is slick....very slick. While it has its issues I can cast it a long way. But the sensitivity just blows me away. I used NanoFil for a long time....and still do from time to time. The only issue I have with it is no abrasion resistance.

This ain’t Dacron Tom. It is not braid....it is a mono. Nothing like it here at all. I don’t think 8 bucks a spool is high price...a spool of NanoFil is 13-18 bucks.
