Too Hot!! Fruit trees & garden are suffering. Fish are getting ready to spawn again.

Some pretty fish. I’ll get out in a while, miss my little 3 hour trips.

Beautiful fish, wish we had them that nice here in Alabama. I am actually wondering if one of our deep lakes here actually has them that nice but no one knows how to catch them, or fishes deep enough for them.

fc - thnx, you should check it out
Seems like I'm the only one out here that trolls deeper water for the Bluegills. Most fish the beds - if the bite stops - they stop..... Works for me. LOL

Is there any fish so tied up to bed fishing as bluegill? They bite year round. I don't get it, but it leaves all the post-spawn fish to me.

I fish for them all year. They will congregate below Pickwick Dam by the thousands from now until next spring. The problem for me is I don’t live that close anymore.....my shortest drive to good bluegill waters is now 81 miles....but I still go.

    Regards
