Can you recommend a good source on the Presso ?

    danke, Chris

Unfortunately I cannot. EBay has some but at an inflated price. Presso is coming out with a new rod and or reel in September.

I’ve never seen any on sale. HOOK 1 just closed all their stores. Lots of gear on sale there...but not that rod.

    Regards

I'm going to keep my eye out. Just might have to pull the trigger on one.

I bought mine from FishUSA.com and used a 10% off coupon code I found
on the net. CHAD10 was the code I used.

Buy the blank and learn how to build a rod. Not that difficult and very rewarding hobby.

What would it cost to build an exact duplicate of this Legend Elite Panfish rod ? Say a 6 footer.

I could build it for under probably
less than 200 dollars. I've built a number of St Croix SC 5'S. I dont build anymore. The advantages of a custom made rod are handles that fit your particular hand and accurate guide placement based on proven blank loading techniques. Go to www.rodbuilding.com and they have lots of information on there. This is a handle on a SC V St Croix from 10 years ago. I believe it's the best handle you can put on a spinning rod. Lightest and most sensitive. Sorry for the rambling. Name: 20151003_131649.jpg

Using the exact components, on the rod mentioned, I am not even sure you can buy the individual components for less than 250 dollars...then you have to account for your time as a rod builder. The Torzite guide set alone is around 100 bucks...with the Arowana tip top alone at the 19 dollar mark. I am not sure one can even buy the blank for that rod but if you can I would guess it would sell for 150-200 bucks.
