    Looks to be a bluegill x Red Ear hybrid. Agreed? Pics are of same fish.

    Caught one of those in Ouachita Lake . Blue gill crosses with other pan fish real common I think .

    We have the RE cross with the Northern Strain Bluegill @ lake Havasu and the RE cross with the Copper Nose Bluegill @ Lake Perris. I think the RE has crossed with the Green Sunfish @ LP also...

    Get a lot of those here in MO. That's the best I can figure. They spawn at the same time here, and in the same beds. I've caught one mixed with a Green Ear. They look like an oversized gill with bright orange fins. Those are some nice ones!
